about the boat
our boat, blue, is a 40-foot Santa Cruz monohull with serious sailing pedigree. Built for speed and adventure, she spent her early years racing big waters, including legendary offshore races like the Transpac. She knows wind, waves, and what it means to really sail.
These days, she’s retired from racing and reimagined for something better: sharing unforgettable days on Lake Tahoe.
We’ve thoughtfully transformed her into a comfortable, beautifully equipped charter sailboat — the kind that still feels sporty and alive under sail, but relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for slow mornings, golden afternoons, and sunset cruises with friends. There’s space to stretch out, room to gather, and all the little touches that make time on the water feel easy.
